WORKING PRINCIPLE

WORKING PRINCIPLE    Wind turbines work on a very simple principle that is instead of using electricity to make wind for example using fan etc . Wind turbine uses wind to make electricity. Wind turns the propeller like blades of turbine around a rotor , which spins a generator , which creates electricity .

WIND TURBINE USING CEILING FAN (TRIAL)

Wind Turbine By Using  Ceiling  fan Here we have used a normal ceiling fan . The winding of the ceiling fan is placed between magnetic field and than the blades are replaced by a light weight blades so for any change in speed of air it can move by this movement the coil moves in magnetic field and energy is generated which is store d. The basic component were:- 1. Magnet  2. Ceiling fan winding ( head part)  3. Pvc pipe for blades  It was a trial to know how energy is produced by wind in practical life so we started this and got an practical experience. WIND TURBINE BY CEILING FAN

INITIAL DESIGN AND MATERIAL

Image
Design   And Material.  The design of the blade were symmetry as per our plan till that is NACA 0018.0 Percent assymetry and thickness of 18% of camber. Velocity diagram were got using Ansys Software.  Wind turbines are made of fiber glass, steel, resin or plastic, aluminum iron or cast iron and copper. Out of these material that are listed 3 material are most commonly used. Light wood like balsa wood is used as blade material. E-glass fiber is most widely utilized in wind turbine rotor blades mainly due to its low cost. Carbon fibers are also used in many aerospace and aerodynamic body applications

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Image
Poster On Vertical axis wind turbines   There are many problem arising for energy production because of limiting of fossil fuel not only in India but World wide . All country are trying to shift them self to Renewable source of energy .  This problem are today word have solution such as wind energy , Solar energy and others which can replace the non-renewable source of energy . Many Family are nowadays shifting to solar panel and many industry and Government are trying to build Wind turbines But due lack of awareness this is not growing fast .

INTRODUCTION

INTRODUCTION (Vertical-Axis Wind Turbines) Throughout human history, wind energy has been harnessed for small-scale applications such as pumping water from wells or operating grain and textile mills. Today, wind energy can be converted into electricity, and the costs of producing wind energy have reduced by 80% since the last century. Now, wind energy is considered the cheapest type of renewable energy available.  A vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) has blades mounted on the top of the main shaft structure, rather than in the front like an aircraft rotor. The generator is usually placed at the tower base. Used less often than their horizontal counterparts, VAWTs are more practical in residential areas
